Recently, the Patna High Court released a detailed notification for the recruitment of Computer Operator-cum-typist posts for 2026. A total of 48 vacancies have been announced under this recruitment. The online application process start  on 17 April 2026 and will remain open until 16 May 2026. Candidates who complete their registration by this date can pay the application fee until 19 May 2026. Typing Test Requirement

Passage Length :- For English 400 words and for Hindi 300 words

Duration :- 10 Minutes

Speed :- 40 wpm in English and 30 wpm in Hindi

Font :- For Hindi Mangal Font (Remington Gail ) and in English board will use standard qwerty keyboard

Accuracy :- In English typing test 90% accuracy required and for Hindi board required 85% accuracy

Backspace :- Fully enabled (candidate can correct his/her mistake )

Auto Scroll :- Scroll will be manual

Typing Error Evaluation

Patna High Court Typing Test uses a standard error marking rules that is Full mistake and Half mistake

Full Mistake :-

1. Omission: Skipping a word or a figure present in the original text.
2. Substitution: Typing a different word or figure in place of the one provided (ex. typing of ‘That” instead of ‘This”)
3. Addition: Adding a word, figure, or group of words that does not exist in the source passage.

Half Mistake

1. Spelling Errors
2. Wrong Capitalisation
3. Punctuation: Incorrectly inserting or omitting punctuation marks.

Note :- According to previous vacancies the typing matter will be displayed on the upper half screen and candidate can type that matter on the lower of the screen.
