Allahabad High Court Typing Test

The Allahabad High Court is expected to release the recruitment notification for the posts of Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) in 2026. Apart from these positions, the High Court regularly announces vacancies for various other posts, such as Stenographer Grade-3, Junior Assistant, and Paid Apprentice. For certain posts, including Review Officer, Assistant Review Officer, and Stenographer, candidates are required to qualify a typing test as part of the selection process.

Selection Stages for Allahabad High Court

  • Written Exam
  • Typing Test ( ARO /RO and group c posts )
  • Document Verification

Requirement for Typing Test ARO/RO

Passage length :- For ARO/RO 500 words

Duration :- 20 minutes

Language :- English

Font :- New Roman

Speed :- 25 WPM

Typing error deduction :- 0.1 marks

Requirement for Typing Test Group C

Passage length :- For English 300 words and for Hindi 250 words

Duration :- 10 minutes

Language :- English and Hindi both

Hindi Font :- Mangal Font ( Inscript Layout )

Speed :- Required speed for English 30 WPM, for Hindi 25 WPM

Backspace :- Fully enabled candidate can correct there mistake

Key Point :- In the ARO/RO typing test, 0.1 mark is deducted for each mistake. Therefore, while practicing typing, candidates should focus primarily on 98%+ accuracy. Although the use of the Backspace key is allowed during the test, excessive use of backspace key can reduce candidates net speed. It is advisable to maintain a balance between speed and accuracy.

Error Evaluation For ARO/RO

There is a deduction of 0.1 mark typing of ARO/RO

These are the mistakes that board counts :

  1. Left-out words: Skipping a word from the passage.
  2. Spelling errors: Any character mismatch in a word.
  3. Extra words: Adding words not present in the original text.
  4. Punctuation/Case errors: Incorrect capitalization or missing commas/full stops.
