Requirement for Typing Test

Passage Length :- There is no fixed word limit criteria for UPPCL typing test that can 300 words to 700 or 900 words or more

Duration :- 5 minutes

Language :- Hindi Typing is Mandatory in UPPCL while candidate can also opt for English typing.

Font :- Kruti Dev 010 or 016

Speed :- Mandatory 35WPM in English and 30 WPM in Hindi

Accuracy :- 95%

Note :- As per the official board Hindi typing is essential to qualify in UPPCL typing but if a candidate opt for English then he/she have to achieve 35 WPM typing speed can earn additional bonus 20 marks that can help into final merit list.

The passage to be typed will be displayed on the upper half of the computer screen, while the lower half will be provided for typing the passage.

Error Evaluation

The Electricity Service Commission typically uses the following standard for evaluation

Word Definition: 1 word is calculated as 5 keystrokes.

Net Speed(WPM)= (Total Keystrokes – Errors) / 5 ÷ Time (5 minutes)
