DDA(Delhi Development Authority) Typing Test

The Delhi Development Authority releases several Vacancies for multiple posts such as JE (Junior Engineer), JSA(Junior Secretariat Assistant), ASO(Assistant Section Officer), StenographerLDC(Lower Division Clerk),UDC(Upper Division Clerk) and MTS(Multi Task Staff). For certain posts Delhi Development Authority Requires Typing Test ( Skill Test ) . Basically it is qualifying in nature but candidate must qualify that to secure a seat.

Selection Process

  • Stage 1 :- CBT(computer based test ) Prelims
  • Stage 2 :- CBT (computer based test ) Mains
  • Stage 3 :- Skill Test (Typing Test , DEST ), Stenography test

Note :- Only JE post requires interview and DEST (Data Entry Skill Test ).

Requirement for Typing Test

Passage length :-

  • 350 words into English almost 10,500 key depression per hour
  •  300 words in Hindi around 9,000 key depression

Duration JSA Post :- 10 minutes

Duration for ASO Post :- 15 minutes

Speed :-

  • 35 WPM in English
  • 30 WPM in Hindi

Language :- candidate can choose between English or Hindi.

Font :-

  • DDA requires new roman font for English
  • Mangal Font ( Remington Gail ) for Hindi typing

Important points :- In DDA typing test

  • The word being typed will be highlighted. Correctly typed words will be highlighted in green, while incorrectly typed words will be highlighted in red.
  • Candidates can also use the Backspace key to correct the currently typed word. Additionally, they can use the left and right arrow keys to navigate through the text and make corrections as needed.

Error Evaluation :-

Evaluation of typing speed will be done on the basis of the following formula:

Speed = [(Gross Keystrokes typed/5) – (incorrect words typed*10)] / 10(given time)
