RRB NTPC Skill Test

Typing test for RRB NTPC is qualifying in nature , Marks will not be added to the final merit list.

1. Language :Candidate can select language  English or Hindi
2. Font : For Hindi candidates can choose between Kurti 010 or Mangal ( Remington Gail Keyboard)
3. Duration : 10 minutes
4. Typing Speed : 30 wpm for English and for Hindi 25 wpm
5. Passage Length : 1500 keystrokes for English and for Hindi 1250 keystrokes
6. Interface : Typing Interface for RRB NTPC 
7. Highlight : None
8. Scroll : Manual
9. Backspace : Disabled

Note1:-

If the candidate has typed the paragraph in 10 minutes and still has time , candidates can type it again.

Note 2 :

If the candidate fails to complete the paragraph within the given time and does not write 300 words in English and 200 words in Hindi, the candidate will be disqualified.

 Typing Test Error Calculation

Error calculation will be based on full mistakes and half mistakes.

Full Mistake :

1. Omitting a word/figure
2. Substituting a wrong word
3. Adding extra words not in the passage

Half Mistake :

1. Spelling errors
2. Incorrect use of capital/small letters
3. Punctuation errors

First Formula : No. of full mistakes + (No. of half mistakes)/2 = Total Mistakes

Number of mistakes–5% of total number of words typed=Final count of mistakes.

Typing Speed Formula 

Typing Speed=Number of total words typed–(Final count of mistake x 10) / Time
