Selection Process

There will be four different stages :

CBT (computer based test )
Physical endurance and measurement test (PET & PMT)
Typing skill test (English & Hindi)
CPT(computer proficiency test)

Delhi Police HCM Typing Skill Test

It is a very important stage in the selection process for the Delhi police head constable exam (ministerial ) recruitment 2025. You can choose language of your choice either English or Hindi.

Language – English and Hindi.
Time duration – 10 minutes.
Speed requirement – 30 wpm for English, 25 wpm for Hindi
Test Mode – Physical hard copy (passage) to be typed on computer. They will provide you the hard copy then you have to type.
Passage length – minimum 2000 keystrokes in English and 1700 in Hindi
Marks allocation – Minimum 10 marks & maximum 25 marks
Accuracy – 90% required
Backspace – fully enabled

Note :- If the passage is completed before 10 minutes candidates can retype the same passage.

Speed calculation and mistake criteria

The result will be counted by the net speed and the boards formula for that :-

WPM = Total Characters Typed /5 /Time (in Minutes)
1 word = 5 characters (standard rule )

Note:- An increase in errors leads to a decrease in net speed. Pay close attention to your accuracy.
