The Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE), Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti have released recruitment notifications for 2026.
In KVS, there are a total of 13,404 vacancies, out of which 702 posts are specifically for the Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA). Candidates applying for these posts will also have to qualify a typing test, which is an important part of the selection process.
In NVS, there are 1,925 non-teaching vacancies in total. Among these, 630 vacancies are specifically for the Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) post. These vacancies are divided between Headquarters/Regional Offices (HQ/RO) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya’s (JNV) cadres.

For the JSA post, candidates will have to appear in a typing test along with the written examination, as typing proficiency is a mandatory requirement for the post.
For KVS and NVS typing tests, Hindi typing is generally conducted in Mangal (Unicode) font, and candidates may use keyboard layouts such as Remington Gail or Kruti Dev 01 for typing.
KVS and NVS typing test interface is usually similar to other government typing exams. In this test, half of the screen displays the passage that candidates have to type, and the other half of the screen is provided for typing the same passage within the given time.
